Despite a gloomy day the Grand Prix Chapter show at Pontiac, IL Sept 11 was successful even though the car count was less than expected. It rained Thursday and Friday and looked like rain Saturday morning, but later the clouds broke and the day turned out OK. I would guess that that kept many of the locals away. I think there were around 50 cars registered. Some came as far as Ontario, Canada and Louisiana and Texas. The Pontiac museum was as great as we had heard. The town of Pontiac rolled out the red carpet for us, what a great help. Ray Stoeck sold most of the club store items so we are out of the store business. Ron Maurer presented Jim Schaudek and Ron Panzer with Appreciation of Service awards and President Mark Pataluch presented Tim Dye with a check for $500 from the club for the Pontiac Museum.
